News and Updates

05/2009 - unusual for me, I posted a business-related blog item on my professional blog.!

06/2009 - working on a few new customers. Also released my latest project: Torah Portions!

So who is this Leon guy, anyway?!?

This is where I hang up my professional hat, when I'm not saving the world from inefficient systems management processes.

What I do

In my sordid career, I have been an actor, bug exterminator and wild-animal remover (nothing crazy like pumas or wildebeasts. Just skunks and racoons.), electrician, carpenter, stage-combat instructor/choreographer, sign-language interpreter, and teacher.

However, I've spent the largest portion of career time (nearly 18 years) as an IT professional. See my resume or the info on my links page for the gory details.

You learn a lot about a person by looking at the tools they use. So here's what I carry around in my systems management toolbox right now: SolarWinds, Tivoli, NetIQ, BMC Patrol, HP Openview, VMWare, Nagios, VMWare, Ubuntu Linux.

You also learn alot by looking at what a person reads. Here's my technical reading list: Lockergnome, Gizmodo, Techrepublic, InfoWorld, Robert X Cringely (the first one).

What you should know about me

I talk - and communicate (email, IM, memos, manuals, lists, updates) a lot. But the home page of a web site may not be the best place for all of that. Check out my resume and/or my professional blog. Drop me a line or give me a call. Strike up a conversation. I've always got time to share a thought or two.

And if that's not enough, you can always check out some of my writing at Leon's Literature.

Thanks again for stopping by!
