Manager / Director, SOC

This is a remote full-time opportunity with occasional in-office. Company is located in Atlanta area. This is a position with a leading Splunk Certified Partner. Compensation is $170-190k.

Responsibilities:
o Leading SOC Level 1 and Level II Analysts (20 – 30), including shift scheduling.
o Responsible for monitoring and reporting team metrics
o Identifying opportunities for new playbooks and automation
o Design review of playbooks prior to implementation (could also write designs)
o Input into project plans for playbook development

Experience:
o SA3 experience or equivalent
o Experience designing and building playbooks in Splunk SOAR
o Experience running a SOC (or at least leading a team), including 24×7 “shift- work.”
o Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is preferred but not required.
o Minimum 5 years of security background

Kubecost is hiring a Senior Technical Success Manager to help our customers monitor (and save!) a ton of money on their K8s clusters and cloud installations. We’re looking for someone who has experience in this area and can work directly with our customers, and advocate for them internally.

We are a fully remote company, but we ask that an applicant’s work day occur sometime during Kubecost’s core support hours (currently 9am-8pm Eastern Time).

Our ideal candidate has:
A healthy dose of both technical and customer-facing experience.
3+ years of deep, hands-on Kubernetes experience (nobody is too technical for this position!).
1+ years of experience with at least one of the main cloud providers (AWS, GCP or Azure)
Experience with or a general understanding of the following projects: Helm, Prometheus, Thanos, or Grafana and ability to quickly learn

We plan to use Grafana for metric visualization and OpenTelemetry libraries/SDKs for telemetry data, but we’re open to other options since this is a greenfield project.
