Hello, my group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory provides infrastructure and kubernetes services supporting the activities of the Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility. The resources of the center are utilized by scientific researchers around the globe in multiple disciplines. Additionally, we have efforts underway to expand workloads at the edge as well as our protected (HIPAA) data space. I currently have positions open for both Infrastructure engineers as well as Kubernetes/Platform engineers. Job Title: UI/UX Designer – Donor Fund
Job Summary: The Donor Fund is seeking a talented and experienced UI/UX Designer to join our team in the Lakewood office or remotely. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in UI/UX design and a solid understanding of the fintech industry. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our team to design and develop visually appealing, intuitive, and user-friendly interfaces for our web and mobile applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop user interfaces for web and mobile applications that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders
• Work collaboratively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that user interfaces are visually appealing, intuitive, and user-friendly
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement in user interfaces
• Develop and maintain design guidelines, style guides, and design patterns to ensure consistency and coherence across all user interfaces
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in UI/UX design and fintech to ensure that the Donor Fund remains competitive and innovative
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably in fintech
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or InVision
• Experience with user research and usability testing
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus

2+ years of experience making technical design decisions involving the use of cloud computing services
Experience working as a senior influencer on complex software systems
Ability to simplify complex ideas and communicate them in writing with clear, logical thinking
